In the early spring of 2022, as the days in Eindhoven began to stretch a little longer, Tay and Flo found each other the way many modern love stories begin — with a swipe to the right.

What started as a conversation about anime, gaming, and a shared love of coffee soon turned into their first date at Lucifer in Eindhoven. Ironically, neither ordered coffee — Flo chose a kombucha, Tay a mint tea. One drink became dinner that same evening at Takumi, a place that would quickly become a favourite.
 

More dates followed. More laughter. And on the 28th of April 2022, in Utrecht, they officially chose each other.
 

They built a home together, shaped daily life into something entirely their own, and filled their passports with memories — from South Africa to Japan and across Europe. In between adventures, they shared quiet moments with their three cats: Donny, Valerie, and Minty.
 

Then, in 2025, beneath the mountains of Cape Town at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, Flo asked Tay to marry him, holding a purple-and-gold sparkly ring.
 

Tay said yes.
 

Back in the Netherlands, Tay returned the question — making sure Flo had his own sparkly ring, too.
 

And now, here we are — beginning the next chapter of their story.
